EXCLUSIVE!!! Thomas Rhett Says He is NOT "Hipper" than Lee Brice...

Lee Brice says this new artist is one of the hippest writers in town. In fact, Lee said he hangs out with him every chance he gets because he wants some of that hip-ness to rub off on him. Well he’s talking about Thomas Rhett…and I caught up with the “Something to do with my Hands” singer this week…to find out just how hip he thinks he is…

Thomas Rhett: I heard Lee made a comment about, uh, not bein' as hip of a writer as some of the younger writers and I heard that he mentioned my name and...I TRULY admire Lee Brice's writing, I mean, he has written some of the most amazing songs...that I have ever heard. I aspire to write that well, but for now...I'm kinda just writin' from a 22 year old's standpoint. It's really cool to write with one of your idols, especially like Lee. And I'm very fortunate to write with somebody with a mind that's like...10 times more brilliant than mine. But NO (laughs) I do NOT consider myself "hipper" than Lee Brice!!!"

Thomas Rhett co-wrote “Parking Lot Party” with Lee; it’s on Lee’s Hard 2 Love album…and the two also wrote a song called “Sunburnt Lips” that Thomas Rhett says is on quote, “For Real Hold” for Luke Bryan. Right now, his debut single is climbing the charts. If you haven't heard it yet, you can check it out below. Thomas Rhett’s debut album will be released later this year…
