Lee Brice will be spending some quality time with his son, Takota on Father’s Day this Sunday. And Lee admits, it’s still a little weird for the holiday to be all about him…
Lee Brice: “Father’s Day, you know, it’s so...it’s still strange to me now because it was always about my Daddy, you know, and then his Daddy. That’s what Father’s Day was…and so for the last couple of years it’s like, ‘it’s Father’s Day coming up, cool, I need to call my Daddy’…and then it’s like…Sarah and Takota getting me a Father’s Day card…and I’m like, ‘wait a minute’…you know, it’s almost strange to think about Father’s Day when you’ve got a new son or a new somebody and so…I’m still getting used to Father’s Day being a day about ME as well, you know? And not just about my Daddy and his Daddy. So it’s exciting actually, cause I know Takota..he’s starting..he’s like I was he gets excited about hanging out with Daddy for Father’s Day. So it’ll be fun.”
Lee recently bought a house in Nashville so after Father’s Day, Lee has some time set aside to enjoy hanging out with Takota at home.
