Rascal Flatts "Banjo" On Top!

Rascal Flatts hit the top of the charts with their single “Banjo," but according to lead singer, Gary LeVox, finding the number one song was kind of an accident. Gary says one day they just happened to overhear the song being played for a co-writer in another room…

Rascal Flatts:“Neil (Thrasher) and Wendell (Mobley) were actually at my ranch writing... the three of us were writing ‘Changed.’ Wendell just happened to get the rough copy of ‘Banjo,’ and was playing it for Neil to go, ‘Oh here’s the song they demoed for us.’ I heard it and I was like, ‘What is that?’ He was like, ‘Just some song,’ and Neil’s like, ‘Yeah I like it, it sounds good.’ I was like, ‘You gotta play it again!’”

Rascal Flatts are ready to move on to their next hit. The trio’s follow up single to “Banjo” is “Come Wake Me Up,” which is also on their certified Gold album, Changed.
