Dierks Bentley reveals the story behind "The Boot". Well, Dierks and his crew released a video (it’s the latest in the DBTV webisode series)…and in the video they all open up about their personal and professional relationship with their mysterious band-mate…that over sized Boot that shares the stage with them on tour...
Dierks explains how the Boot changed his life:
Dierks Bentley: “Ah, man the first time I saw the boot, I mean it just…it kinda warms my heart. It makes you almost tear up a little bit, to be honest…just ‘cause it was such a great moment. It really was a defining moment in my career…I really thought I had all the pieces in place. I didn’t realize until I saw the boot that I was not only missing something musically…I was missing something in my…emotionally…in my heart. There was a space still available.”
Word is, "The Boot" was actually stolen from a casino in Las Vegas. When the casino discovered Dierks is the one who had it, they gave him the option of returning it or buying it from them. Dierks hung on to it because, quote: "The boot was already missing parts of his 'sole' by then, so we chose to keep it." I’ve posted Dierks’ funny webisode below:
