Alan Jackson: "Oh, I don't think I really challenged myself that much. It's pretty much the routine I've always done. I just try to find the best songs and I try to write stuff."
Alan got the title of the album, Thirty Miles West, from the Dixie Highway that runs from Michigan to South Florida. That road, according to Alan, was 30 miles west of his hometown of Newnan, Georgia.
