ACM New Artist of the Year, Scotty McCreery may be a country star on weekends, but Monday through Friday, he says he’s just a regular high school kid who’s trying to blend in…(even after he spent the weekend on the road touring with Brad Paisley)…
Scotty McCreery: "I think I went to school my first day back in shorts, flip-flops and a T-shirt because I wanted to make sure they knew I'm still a part of you guys. I don't want to come in here holding up an award. I just want to be one of you all -- for a little bit until the weekend."
So no, Scotty won’t be taking his ACM award to school with him for show and tell. He’s a senior this year, and he’ll be graduating with his classmates soon. After that, Scotty says he has plans to attend North Carolina State University in the fall.
