Martina McBride says she and her husband can relate to her hit single "I'm Gonna Love You Through It." The song was written about a cancer survivor, but when she first played a demo of the song to her husband, John, his response made her realize the song goes even deeper than that…
Martina McBride: "At the very core of it, it's a love song, you know? And I played it for my husband, I played him the demo and he said, 'That's what I would say to you. That's what I would want to say to you.' And I thought, wow, I mean, that's what I would want to hear. So, it's really, at the core of it, it's just about I will stick with you no matter what."
