Ticketmaster has been ordered to Pay the Piper…YOU! Well, if you've used Ticketmaster to purchase tickets to your favorite concerts anytime in the past 12 years…you didn’t know it, but you were paying the company a hidden “processing fee”. So a class action suit was brought against Ticketmaster for profiting off of transactions made from October 1999 to October 2011...and the court has ordered that customers get refunded. Customers will receive a refund code for $1.50 credit for future purchases made through Ticketmaster. The maximum number of codes you'll be able to receive is 17. It’s a small refund, but every little bit helps.
In the future, Ticketmaster is allowed to profit off the transactions, but it has to be clearly stated on the company’s website. But you won’t be able to cash in by Christmas time…The suit isn’t expected to be settled until May of next year...
