Martina McBride sang the national anthem to kick off Sunday’s NFL showdown between the Baltimore Ravens and the New York Jets….but it also launched the NFL Breast Cancer Awareness campaign that runs through the month of October...
The NFL will feature pink coins for the coin toss, pink goal post padding, pink equipment for the players and pink ribbon decals used for every down.
Martina was the perfect choice to kick off the campaign… She’s passionate about the cause and her latest single “I’m Gonna Love You through It,” expresses what life is like for those whose lives have been affected by Breast Cancer…
Martina McBride: “Unfortunately, you know, I think everybody knows someone who’s been touched by cancer. I mean it could be any one of us at any time that gets that phone call. So, I think that it’s just—from the people that I’ve met, even since I’ve just released this song—they just tell touching stories about how this song really speaks to them.”
