Taylor Swift Gives To Tuscaloosa

Taylor Swift has donated $250,000 to Alabama Tornado Relief. She donated the money to Nick's Kids, a charity founded by University of Alabama head football coach Nick Saban and his wife. The money will help those in the Tuscaloosa area, through partnerships with Project Team Up and Habitat for Humanity.

Coach Saban wrote a special thank you message to Taylor On the school's website....

He wrote, "Taylor Swift's overwhelmingly generous gift will go a long way in helping our rebuilding efforts. Since all of our Nick's Kids staff and workers are volunteers, every dollar will go towards the relief efforts. We are so grateful that such a talented and successful young person is thoughtful enough to do something to make a positive impact on those who need it most. Taylor deserves a big Roll Tide from our community and we sincerely thank her for joining the team at Nick's Kids."

Well, Taylor Swift has donated more than $1 Million to charity, just in the past year. She raised more than $750,000 for tornado victims with her "Speak Now…Help Now" benefit concert. And she donated $500,000 to Tennessee flood victims last year, too. According to one report, Taylor also made contributions to schools and education programs...she gave to Iowa flood relief and to a few other Red Cross disaster relief funds, PLUS…she’s participated in a slew of other benefit concerts.

Taylor Swift is one special young lady.
