Jason Aldean has scored his seventh #1 single with “Dirt Road Anthem.” And it’s the 3rd consecutive #1 from his "My Kinda Party" album. But Jason admits that "Dirt Road" was so far off the beaten path, that he wasn’t sure he’d be allowed to take that kind of detour….
Jason Aldean: “Dirt Road was almost the first single from this record. We thought about coming out with that as the lead single. And to the credit of my record company...they’ve always been really cool at letting me talk ‘em into things that they may not necessarily be 100% on, but they were behind this song. To their credit, they dug it. And I love that about them, is that they’re not scared to let us go out and be a little different and try some new things.”
Well "Dirt Road" proved that different is good…it’s even evolved into a pop collaboration with rapper Ludacris. And Jason’s album, "My Kinda Party", just so happens to be the biggest-selling country album of the year, so far.
