Alabama Calls on Brad Paisley for 'Bama Rising'

The members of Alabama have put together an All-Star benefit for the victims of the tornadoes that devastated much of their home state. They’re calling it Bama Rising: A Benefit Concert for Alabama Tornado Recovery, and it will take place in Birmingham on June 14th. The Legendary Country Group called on their friends in the Country Music community to join them…Sara Evans, Little Big Town, Dierks Bentley, Martina McBride, Kellie Pickler and Brad Paisley will perform for the benefit. Brad Paisley says after Alabama sang with him on his hit song, "Old Alabama," he was more than happy to return the favor and be a part of the benefit.

Brad Paisley: Jeff Cook left me a message and said, ‘Well I told you when I was gonna do this with you payback would be a bear.’ So, you know and I said, ‘Yup, well whatever you want I’ll do it.’ And that’s when they came up with the idea to do this concert and what a line up they’re gonna have. It’s crazy. It’s gonna be memorable.

I talked to Randy Owen after the storms, and he was in Alabama during the storm. He and his family were in the basement for hours and hours…but luckily, their home wasn’t in the path of the tornado. But when Randy saw the devastated areas that were hit, he said it’s the worst natural disaster he’s ever seen.

Tickets for the benefit concert go on sale this Friday at 11AM Central at Ticketmaster. For more details, go to BamaRising.com.
